On my own, I managed to move up to NL25, which, as many know, is the first more or less serious limit where you already face quite a few strong regulars.
I wanted to move higher, but I needed a better winrate buffer to reduce the impact of variance. Without an outside perspective, I couldn’t really understand how to increase my winrate. I’m a former professional athlete, and I clearly understand that, just like in sports, the shortest path to results in poker is through proper training.
In a poker chat, I was advised to contact a project that does database reviews. I ended up working with coach Andrey (EXZ1k): I sent my database, we had a call, and he explained everything very clearly — showed me where I was leaking money and what needed to be fixed.
